To all you parents out there.. Have you ever felt like after you've had your child/children that your sense of style and the looks that you enjoy just totally go out the window? I can relate.
Being a teenage mother has many hardships, many of which I have overcome and am proud of myself for, but one of them is still being yourself and having the ability to be original and feel pretty. I feel like I have lost the know how of fashion and just gave in to being lazy and wearing pajama pants all day (even to the grocery store, eh!). I have decided that this will be NO MORE!
As you know I have changed my hair color. I went from being a brunette to a blonde with aqua highlights. It has been such an eye opener for me to be honest. I feel like I don't have to hide behind being a mom and trying to come across as being older than I am. Yes I am young and I have a child, but why should I dress like I'm 30 when really I'm only 18?? I can still be the wild person I was but with more maturity and responsibility.
Some things that I have always enjoyed are dying my hair (check), getting piercings, and envying tattoos! Now that I am an 'official' adult I can just go to a tattoo shop and go for it without having to have parental consent.. YES! I have been seeing all of my close friends getting their first tattoos and I'm loving it.. But I feel like I'm lame with my plain, pale skin!
I have decided that for my next gift to myself I am going to get my belly button pierced! I got the okay from Logan to do so because he thinks they are cute and that it may motivate me a little more to get active and want to show it off more in public places like the beach. I'm hoping that I can get it within the next couple of months after all the stress and changes cool down.
I am then planning on getting my first tattoo, which I don't want to tell the entire world because I want it to be a surprise! I'm really excited about it and I think you will love it too though. Along with my tattoo I am going to get more piercings! These include: Triple Microdermals on my hips, Anti Eybrow, Double tongue, Tragus, Snug, and Rook. There are more than that, that I like but I want it all to look tasteful together and I figure my list is long enough for now!
My question to you though is,
